Pro Divers was founded over 45 years ago. Today the shop enjoys a large customer base stemming throughout New Jersey and the greater Eastern United States. 

Opening it's doors in 1971, Professional Divers Inc., filled the void that New Jersey divers needed - a knowledgeable and welcoming place to train divers, purchase the latest technology and dive equipment. Pro Divers prides themselves on their expertise in servicing your equipment and their welcoming and friendly staff. 

Meet the team:


Tom began diving in 1971. A few years later in 1976 he became an Advanced Open Water Instructor. After years of holding Instructor Certifications with N.A.S.D.S. and P.A.D.I, and Instructor Trainer Certifications with S.S.I and NA.U.I., Tom currently teaches at Pro Divers, issuing S.D.I/T.D.Y and N.A.U.I. certifications.


Ryan has been with professional divers since before he walk. He's been scuba diving for over 20 years and has been instructing classes for over 14 years. For the last 15 years, Ryan has also been a firefighter with local fire dept, as well as an active member of the of the local dive rescue team. He's an active instructor who can be found running local dives for our new students who are looking for dive buddies, and want to explore local diving .


Rob discovered his passion for diving in 2002 and pursued training to become an Instructor in 2012. Currently a certified instructor for NAUI, SDI, TDI and NASE, he is also one of the only sidemount instructors in the tri-state area. When he's not diving he also holds a 100 Ton Captain's License and runs a local dive boat. He and his wife, Jenna enjoy traveling several times a year to different dive locations. His enthusiasm for diving makes it easy to be Pro Divers' travel guide & host.


Ken Hoffman

Ken Hoffman started his dive career at professional divers in 1997 and has now come full circle. A SDI-TD Instructor, NAUI Course Director, Technical Instructor, as well as an ASHI Instructor. Ken enjoys every type of diving from the many Jersey inlet and boat dives, to the deep technical dives off North Carolina and everything in between. He is a self proclaimed “Liquid Athlete”… Just add water!!! If you feel the urge to get in the water, Ken and Jim are prepped, set, and ready to get wet!!!
